Quality education for everyone, declared by UN as SDG 4, is unreachable without information on what and how successfully students learn. Improvement of learning systems through provision of appropriate assessment tools for different levels of the educational system has become a very demanding topic in the work of the ECA-CES members.
The group is dedicated to issues of developing and fine-tuning of tools and methodologies for assessment of learning outcomes. The aim of the group is to ensure that assessment data effectively informs policy and practice and addresses existing challenges facing educational systems of European and Central Asian countries. One of the examples of the group project is development of country versions of the Student Achievement Monitoring (SAM) for both different school levels and different subjects.
