The group strives to unlock the full potential of using assessment data to improve learning. The experience of collaboration with teachers and education officials in developing countries proves that in many cases assessment objectives are misunderstood which leads to improper research planning, conducting and inadequate results interpretation and utilization, thus making any study ineffective. The group is aimed at addressing these issues. The most common discussion topics in the group include:
- Processing and interpretation of assessment data, incl. large-scale and cross country
- Preparing and supporting educators in realizing the full potential of using assessment data
- Developing and encouraging the development of research data assessment tools and methodologies that include visualizations and clearly demonstrate the meaning of certain data
