High Level Political Forum 2020 programme has been announced

The High Level Political Forum is the main United Nations platform on sustainable development and it has a central role in the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the global level. 

In the 2020 HLPF, participants will debate what is the progress towards SDGs concerning the influence of Covid-19 crisis. They will identify how the global community can respond to the pandemic in a way that will return us to the path of SDGs achievement and accelerate its progress over the next decade.

During the HLPF-2020 a number of countries, including Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan will present their Voluntary National Reviews (VNR). These reviews will inter alia include sections on the state and development perspective of national education systems concerning the achievement of the SDG4. The VNRs aim to facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. They also seek to strengthen policies and institutions of governments and to mobilize multi-stakeholder support and partnerships for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
